This Rose’ is made from Tempranillo grapes, hand picked by some of our wine club members. Wild fermented, extended time on lees and with only a light filtration before bottling, this wine is pale salmon pink in colour.Lifted floral aromas typical of tempranillo are complemented by a subtle fragrance of sour cherries and wild strawberries. The palate is soft and refreshing, displaying raspberries and nectarine followed by a zippy acidity, fine texture and a dry finish. A great wine to enjoy on a sunny day.
After desirable conditions during flowering, the summer started cool and wet, slowing down the growing season significantly.
Conditions improved in late February, developing into a perfect Indian summer. The result is whites that are packed with energy and poise, and reds that got the benefit of a long, cool ripening periods; tannin ripeness and complex flavour developments. Alcohols are lower than previous years, even with greater physiological ripeness.
